Acorn elves game BINGO is an observation game designed mainly for trips to the countryside, but two of the variants you can play also at home in the living room.

As in the classic BINGO, it's all about crossing off as many numbers as possible and, more importantly, creating a crossed-out line on the playing card. Only in the Acorn elves version, they don't pull boring numbers out of the pool, so you won't find them on the playing cards either, but instead there are pictures of various natural objects that you and the kids are trying to find on a walk in the woods. This way, children look around more in nature, examine details and also learn to recognise different natural objects.

You can also play this game alone (you just compete to see how many boxes you can cross off on your walk), but it's better to play with two or more players - each card contains 25 randomly generated pictures out of a total of 76. The length of the game is up to you - you can end at the first line, but it's much more fun to play on and set a goal of, say, 20 squares crossed out, 5 lines, or you can play until the end of the outing. It's up to you.

The workbook contains:

  • 100 playing cards on 50 sheets
  • 2 pages with an overview and description of all the pictures - you can then cut these out for a game at home where you draw the pictures
  • 1 page with the rules of the game and various tips to improve it
